Statistics are approximate but should be reasonably close. The "Search Boost" is offered as a measure of the extent to which you select results recommended by Surf Canyon, which is an indicator of the value that you derive from the application. Since Surf Canyon only presents recommendations once you select a result or go to page 2, the Search Boost is the number of recommendations selected divided by the number of results selected when recommendations are available. The Search Boost will vary depending on the individual, but typical values range from 25 to 35%.
Surf Canyon allows you to specify web sites that you prefer and web sites you dislike. If you check a web site or add a preferred web site, then search results from that domain will be more likely to appear in Surf Canyon's recommendations. Web sites from your disliked list will be removed from search results pages.
